Andrew MacMillan is senior counsel, media relations at The Torrenzano Group and has almost 40 years of communications, strategic planning, and consulting experience. For much of his career, he led communications activities for high profile corporations, often during significant transitions dealing with reputation and regulatory challenges.

Andy was recruited by Nasdaq’s chairman and CEO Frank Zarb to lead communications and public affairs and help restore its reputation following the SEC’s actions for lack of transparency. Over a period of several years, market quality issues were addressed, reputation restored, and Andy directed communications for the highly successful initial public offering.
For more than a decade, he managed global communications for Credit Suisse First Boston, through complex franchise threatening issues.
In the healthcare industry, Andy has more than a dozen years’ experience, notably as an officer of public companies – American Medical International and National Medical Enterprises. He led strategic planning and directed analysis and acquisition of healthcare businesses, as well as individual hospitals and hospital companies.
For several years, Andy served on the board of directors of NTS, Inc. (XFN-Nasdaq), based in Texas, offering broadband services to rural customers in that region. He chaired the nominating and corporate governance committees and advised on investor issues. During his tenure, equity value increased more than 120% and XFN was successfully merged in 2014.
He currently serves on the board of directors of OMNIQ Corp. (OMQS-Nasdaq), based in Salt Lake City, Utah. It provides computerized and machine vision image processing solutions for supply chain management, homeland security, public safety, traffic and parking management, and access control applications. He currently chairs the compensation committee and serves on the audit committee.
Andy advised both offensive and defensive initiatives, brand building, reputation enhancing initiatives, media relations and crisis communications. He has led and advised communications activities for: Ameriprise, Barclays Capital, BlackRock, and AXA Rosenberg.
